How do I open an XRP wallet?

To open an XRP wallet, please first transfer an XRP position from the eToro investment platform to the eToro Money crypto wallet.

Ripple requires a fee to create the XRP wallet. Currently, eToro does not pass this fee on to customers.

The first transaction you see in the XRP wallet (up to 45 XRP) reflects this fee and includes what Ripple calls the ‘reserve’. While the actual value of the reserve may change from time to time, the full amount of the first transaction is held in the XRP wallet and cannot be sent to other addresses.

For a detailed explanation, please see the Reserves page and the Multi-Signing page on the XRP Ledger website.

XRP prices and wallet creation fees (including any discounts) are subject to change at any given time and could change on a daily basis. We encourage you to visit this page periodically to stay updated on current fees.
